RULES AND GENERAL RULES
General Rules
  • The following rules are in effect for every tournament that Future Stars of Sports - Indiana has for the 2021 softball and baseball season.

  • There will be an $10 gate fee per person each day or $15 weekend pass to get into the park. 11 years old and under will get in for free. It is your responsibility to keep your ticket/bracelet and present your ticket/bracelet every time you leave and reenter the park. If you lose your ticket/bracelet you will have to buy a new ticket/bracelet to regain access to the park. Please do not speed and run through our gate keepers. Three coaches per team will have free access to the park and all players have free entry. Coaches MUST have bracelet for entire weekend or pay entry fee.

  • No coolers are permitted in any park. All proceeds at the concessions stands benefits the leagues or the facility.

  • No smoking or alcoholic beverages at any park. Immediate dismissal from the park if you are caught with alcohol and possible disqualification of your team.

  • Use of profanity towards anyone will result in dismissal from the park.

  • We are not liable for any injuries or damages in the parking lot, in the bleachers, or at the playground. Any fights or disputes that arise will result in both parties being asked to leave.

  • Check-in is before your first game with the director of the tournament. Needed are the tournament entry fee, roster, and proof of insurance. You will receive your coaches packet as well at this time.

  • Directors can generally be found in the complex tower or a director's tent. It is your responsibility as a coach to locate the tourney director before your first game.

  • All teams need to be present and ready to take the field thirty minutes before their scheduled game time. If we are ahead of schedule we will start games thirty minutes early.

  • There will be no infield before the games start. There is no pitching from the mound before a game.

  • New innings can begin once the last out has been recorded at the bottom of an inning granted time is still remaining. If time is up then that is game. If there is time then a new inning will begin.

  • Games will begin as early as 8am and can start as late as 9:30pm. We will make efforts to accommodate your teams but be prepared to play early or late.

  • Protests are $125 cash up front. Any team wanting to protest a game must do so before the next pitch. Only a rule can be protested, judgement calls are final and will not be overturned for any reason. Asking to see a roster is considered a protest and $125 fee must be paid in order to protest a roster as well. The tournament director and two people not associated with either team will sit down and discuss the rule in question. Majority vote between the three will be the ruling, if no agreement can be made the tourney director will rule. Loss of protest will result in the loss of the protest fee.

  • Rain Out Policy - Once your team has played two games there will be no refunds of entry fee. If you play one game you will receive half your entry back minus administrative fees. If no games are played you will be refunded your entry minus administrative fees or it can be put towards another tourney with us.

  • Once entry fee has been paid your spot is held. If you drop out a week  or closer to a tourney there will be no refund of entry fee. This puts us in a bad spot when teams drop out that close to a tourney.

  • Trophy Policy - In the event of a rain out individual trophies are only given out if bracket play has begun. Highest 2 seeds still in the winners bracket receive individual trophies if bracket play has begun and there is a rain out. Team trophies are only given out if the tourney was completed with clear cut winners. If two divisions are combined there will only be champion and runner up trophies for the combined group not separate divisions.

  • Run Rules are: 12 after 3 - 10 after 4 - 8 after 5            8U is 15 after 4

  • Championship Game will be time limited. No if games unless noted on brackets.

  • Tie Breaker Policy - 1. Head to head (only if there are 2 teams tied) 2. Runs Allowed 3. Runs Scored 4. Flip of coin
